Incomplete Grades
|

|
A grade of “I” (Incomplete) signifies incomplete coursework and may be assigned when a student is unable to complete course requirements due to unforeseen circumstances occuring during the term.
To be eligible for an Incomplete, the student must be passing the course at the time of the withdrawal deadline and must have completed a substantial portion of the coursework (approximately 80%).
To receive an Incomplete:
- The student must request the incomplete from the instructor in writing.
- The instructor must determine that granting an Incomplete is appropriate and will specify, in writing, the remaining requirements and deadline for completion.
The student is responsible for completing all required coursework by the end of the next long semester, unless the instructor establishes an earlier deadline. If the coursework is not completed by the deadline, the grade of “I” will be converted to an “F”.
Once all requirements are completed, the instructor will submit a grade change to replace the “I” with the appropriate final grade.
