Student Representation and Student Government Association

The governing board and administration of North Central Texas College value the opinions and input of students in regard to a wide variety of college-related issues, and they believe strongly in empowering students by giving them a meaningful voice in the institutional decision-making process. This is done in a variety of ways which include, but are not limited to, employee search/selection committees and many standing committees of the College. Student input is actively encouraged and sought on a district-wide basis from the Student Government Association (SGA). Additionally, students may, either individually or collectively, bring issues before the Instructional Council, Chancellor’s Cabinet or other administrative bodies of the College at any time by complying with the appropriate process for requesting that they be placed on the agenda.

The Student Government Association works to promote good will and unity among the students, effectively represent student needs and concerns, and address other matters concerning the general welfare of the students and the College.
