EMSP 1356 - Patient Assessment and Airway Management
A detailed study of the knowledge and skills required to reach competence in performing patient assessment, airway management, and artificial ventilation.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Perform a history and comprehensive physical exam on various patient populations.
- Establish and/or maintain a patient airway.
- Demonstrate oxygenation and ventilation of a patient.
- Differentiate respiratory distress, failure and arrest.
- Interpret results of monitoring devices.
