An introduction in patient assessment, infection control procedures, emergency and safety procedures, communication and patient interaction skills, and basic pharmacology. Lab fees apply
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- explain general safety in patient care practices;
- assess patient condition;
- describe infection control procedures;
- recognize and respond to emergency situations;
- identify relevant pharmaceuticals and their applications;
- and describe basic medical equipment operations.
