SRGT 1441 - Surgical Procedures I



Introduction to surgical pathology and its relationship to surgical procedures. Emphasis on surgical procedures related to the general, OB/GYN, genitourinary, and orthopedic surgical specialties incorporating instruments, equipment, and supplies required for safe patient care.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • relate anatomy and pathology for selected procedures;
  • demonstrate patient preparation; utilize instruments, equipment, and supplies;
  • demonstrate case management skills, sequentially;
  • identify outcomes and possible complications
