SRGT 1442 - Surgical Procedures II
Introduction to surgical pathology and its relationship to surgical procedures. Emphasis on surgical procedures related to the thoracic, peripheral vascular, plastic/reconstructive, EENT, cardiac, and neurological surgical specialties incorporating instruments, equipment, and supplies required for safe patient care.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- relate anatomy and pathology for selected procedures;
- demonstrate patient preparation; utilize instruments, equipment, and supplies;
- demonstrate case management skills;
- identify outcomes and possible complications for selected procedures
