VNSG 1323 - Basic Nursing Skills
Mastery of entry level nursing skills and competencies for a variety of health care settings. Utilization of the nursing process as the foundation for all nursing interventions. Related aspects of nutrition, pharmacology, and medical terminology included.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- demonstrate safe and competent basic nursing skills;
- describe how each step of the nursing process and clinical judgement model relates to nursing care;
- and discuss the implementation of basic nursing skills in a variety of health care settings.
