VNSG 1400 - Nursing In Health and Illness



Introduction to general principles of growth and development, primary health care needs of the client across the life span, and therapeutic nursing interventions.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Describe the psychosocial, growth and development, and physiological needs of patients across the life span.
  • Identify primary health care needs of the patient.
  • Identify the basic interventions using clinical reasoning/judgement model to support the patient and family during life stages including death and dying.
