BARB 1304 - Introduction to Barber Styling
Basic techniques for hair cutting. Introduction to the related skills of shampooing and treatments, and of trimming beards and mustaches.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Identify and discuss hair products and their chemistry.
- Demonstrate shampooing and treatment techniques and identify the basic anatomy of the head, face, and neck.
- Demonstrate standard shaving techniques.
- Define haircutting terms and exhibit proficiency in giving a basic haircut
- Practice safety and sanitation.
