GAME 1373 - Extended Reality Development



Introduction to development of Extended Reality Applications. The field of Extended Reality (XR) is a family of technologies including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) applications. The course covers fundamental concepts, best practices, and the current state of technology and industry with an emphasis on practical applications through several hands-on lab assignments.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Describe fundamental concepts of and the best practices in extended reality.
  • Recognize the current state of development with extended reality technology including knowing current and soon to be released hardware devices.
  • Demonstrate competence with several current extended reality technologies.
  • Develop interactive elements for extended reality applications.
