Application of the functions related to negotiable instruments, cash control, handling money, and balancing. Explanation of compliance and regulation issues affecting bank tellers.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Identify the differences between negotiable instruments and recognize proper endorsements.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle cash, identify counterfeit bills, and balance teller drawers.
- Explain compliance, regulatory issues, and the Bank Secrecy Act and how it affects a teller.
- Define and articulate bank terminology used specifically in a bank teller environment.
