CHLT 1042 - Community Health Field Methods
Preparation for field work with individuals, families, and groups emphasizing teaching and capacity-building skills. Topics include outreach methods, area canvassing, home visiting, group work, community events, and community organizing.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Implement neighborhood/rural outreach campaigns.
- Conduct informal counseling and educational sessions with individuals, families, and community groups.
- Organize community events for purposes of developing community capacity for change.
