TRVM 1027 - Special Events Design
The development of a special event from the conceptual stage through completion. Emphasis on industry terminology, factors to consider when planning a special event, and contingency plans.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Identify key terms used in planning special events.
- Determine event objectives and budget requirements.
- Compare the differences in planning a special event and a convention/meeting.
- Identify suppliers including off-site venue, food and beverage providers, sanitation, entertainment, and security.
- Determine permits, insurance, liabilities associated with planning a special event.
