DITA 1037 - Food Habits and Dietary Standards



A study of food habits. Topics include world and community nutritional problems, dietary standards of nutritional adequacy, and guidelines for meal planning.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Explain factors contributing to food habits.
  • Describe health problems arriving from poor nutrients.
  • Identify dietary standards and guidelines in the food selecting process.
