Equine Science Certificate curriculum focuses on the physiology of reproduction as well as the business and management aspects of this side of the equine industry. Some of the careers available to graduates include Breeding Farm/General Farm Management, Vet Technician, Laboratory and Research vocations, Pedigree Analysis, Bloodstock Agent, Sales Prep and Marketing, and related Industry Retail/Sales.

Upon completion of the Level I Workforce Certificate, students will be able to:

  • Discuss innovation and economic impact within the equine industry 
  • Demonstrate safe horse handling practices
  • Discuss the care and different uses of equine tack and equipment
  • Explain the anatomy and physiology of the horse

Gainful Employment Disclosure

This certificate is only offered in face-to-face delivery. The program is designed to take 32 weeks to complete and is comprised of the following suggested pathway or course of study.
