Commercial driver’s license training (or CDL training) is a specialized instructional program designed to prepare a student to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL), which is required to operate large or heavy vehicles such as a passenger bus, dump truck, tractor-trailer truck, or concrete mixer. The CDL program includes a combination of in-classroom and behind-the-wheel training.
