Admission to Health Science and Other Specialized Programs

All students must be granted admission to North Central Texas College prior to admission to special programs:

1. Students seeking admission to Health Sciences programs (Emergency Medical Services, Fire Science, Allied Health Professions, Radiological Technology, Surgical Technology, Associate Degree Nursing, or Vocational Nursing) and Cosmetology must apply for admission to the college and also to the individual program.
2. The Health Sciences programs’ faculty will advise students of special pre admission requirements for each program. The requirements vary but may include a mandatory advisement session, a pre-admission test, recommendation letters, and/or immunization and physical examination records. Refer to specific programs for additional requirements.
3. Applicants will be notified concerning their status with the individual program by the specific program coordinator prior to the registration period in which the program starts.
