The college requires that students living in residence halls purchase a Meal Plan (see details under Charges for Room and Board), with meals served in the Student Union just a short walk away.

Students who wish to be considered for housing should complete an application online. This information may be found at www.nctc.edu/residence-life. Resident Assistants

Residence halls at NCTC employ student Resident Assistants (RAs) to help the Coordinator of Residence Life build community, support residents, enforce policies, and respond to emergencies, etc. The residence halls are staffed with an appropriate number of RAs in direct relation to the number of residents in the building. Compensation is given in the form of a free private room and meal plan. Student athletes are not permitted to apply;  non-athletes are welcome to apply, prior RA experience is not necessary. For more information, contact the Coordinator of Residence Life at housing@nctc.edu.

Security

The NCTC Police Department provides direct supervision of security personnel, policies, and procedures, and, along with other College officials, reserves the right to forcibly remove any student from the campus who poses an immediate threat to the health and safety of the college environment.

Facilities

Any resident having a maintenance or IT request should submit the request to the RAs or to the Coordinator of Residence Life so that the appropriate department can address the request.

Policies and Procedures

Residence Life policies and procedures are detailed in the Housing Community Standards Handbook provided to each student at check in. Attendance at mandatory meetings is required to review policies, procedures and avoid fines. Student athletes should familiarize themselves with the Athletic Handbook. Additionally, all residents are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the Student Handbook for further resources, policies and their rights and responsibilities.
