DFTG 2302 - Machine Drafting



Production of detail and assembly drawings of machines, threads, gears, utilizing tolerances, limit dimensioning, and surface finishes.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, a student will be able to:

  • Interpret terms used in tolerancing.
  • Identify dimensions of two mating parts.
  • Draw spur and/or bevel gears.
  • Draw details and assemblies.
  • Identify interference and clearance fits.
  • Identify types of threads forms.
  • Interpret thread notes.
