Plumbers keep the water running throughout the world. If you like solving problems and working with your hands, then join one of the largest and highest-paid construction occupations in Texas. As a plumber, you’ll be a part of one of he most stable, best-paying jobs. Plumbers are always in demands, and a good plumber is always appreciated.
The program will teach you plumbing skills that you can apply to residential and commercial plumbing systems. You can use these skills in a variety of work environments where plumbing maintenance is needed.
The program curriculum is aligned with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners tradesman plumber-limited license.
This program focuses on training in plumbing for residential, commercial, and industrial systems. Students will be instructed on soldering, blueprint reading, cutting/joining pipes, and interpreting national and local plumbing codes. Also, the students will master the understanding of all aspects of the plumbing industry’s planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, with underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues.
Basic Plumbing Level I Certificate
Upon completion of the Plumbing Certificate program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic blueprints & plumbing codes.
- Understanding of piping standards and materials.
- Demonstrate proper plumbing and maintenance repair techniques.
- Demonstratean understanding of residential plumbing.
- Prepare to complete the Tradesman Plumbing License.
