North Texas is one of the fastest growing regions in the U.S. A degree in Construction Management from North Central Texas College will help provide a pathway to build a better tomorrow and prepare you for the exciting career of construction manager.
The Construction trades have a lot of specialized skill groups. As a Construction Manager, you have to develop a blend of skills including business, electrical, plumbing, residential, and commercial projects. Construction Managers oversee projects that involve the planning, design, and overall progress of a project. The goal is to complete the project safely, on time, and within budget.
The Construction Management program equips the student with a varied skill set that is developed through a combination of theory and hands on skills. The program has a strong focus on a plumbing concentration. This allows students to understand plumbing aspects of a project while still having the skill set to manage the overall project.
The Construction Management Level 1 Certificate can be completed with a combination of Online, hybrid, and inperson classes. The program is designed to be completed in one year.
Upon completion of the Certificate, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate improved communication skills.
- Demonstrate the proper setup and the use of basic procedures related to Construction Management.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Demonstrate knowledge of project estimation.
