DRAM 1352 - Acting II
Exploration and further training within the basic principles and tools of acting, including an emphasis on critical analysis of oneself and others. The tools include ensemble performing, character and analysis, and basic theater terminology. This will continue the exploration of the development of the actor’s instrument: voice, body and imagination.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Analyze scripts more in depth from the viewpoint of the actor;
- Analyze, develop, and perform a character;
- Demonstrate effective and safe use of the voice and body;
- Define and discuss terms and concepts using an expanded vocabulary of theater;
- Perform at an increasingly skilled level in ensemble building exercises, scenes and final projects, which may include participation in plays;
- Analyze critique personal and peer performances.
