VNSG 1234 - Pediatrics


Study of the care of the pediatric patient and family during health and disease. Emphasis on growth and developmental needs utilizing the nursing process and clinical judgement model.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Identify safety principles related to childcare;
  • Discuss primary nursing care of the pediatric patient and family during health and disease;
  • Apply concepts of growth and development to the care of pediatric patients utilizing the nursing process and clinical judgement model.
