VNSG 1323 - Basic Nursing Skills
Mastery of entry level nursing skills and competencies for a variety of health care settings using the nursing process and clinical judgement model as the foundation for all nursing interventions.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate safe and competent basic nursing skills;
- Describe how each step of the nursing process and clinical judgement model relates to nursing care;
- Discuss the implementation of basic nursing skills in a variety of health care settings.

Restrictions/Notes: Students must be meet pre-entrance criteria, be accepted into the LVN program, and attend mandatory orientation prior to being registered for this course. The nursing department will enroll accepted students.
